1996 Census Profile Series

The Profile Series (also known as Area Profiles) provides univariate descriptions for six specific levels of geography: census division and subdivisions (CD and CSD), census metropolitan areas and agglomerations (CMA and CA), census tracts (CT) within CMAs and some CAs, federal electoral districts (FED), enumeration areas (EA), and forward sortation areas (FSA).

The univariate census results have been grouped into subject categories as well in cumulative files containing all variables. You may wish to work with the subject categories when possible because the cumulative area profiles tend to be large files.
