Latest IASSIST Communiqué
- See the blog for the latest entries.
Conferences Section
Membership section
- Membership renewals and applications are now handled through the www.iassistdata.info site.
- Pam Baxter has stepped down as Membership committee web liaison; the web team thanks her for her diligence over several years. Tuomas Alatera has replaced her.
- IASSIST
Officials page reflects the new officers who
took up post at the 2009 Business meeting.
Publications section
- For purposes of long-term preservation, all conference powerpoints from 2000-2008 have been converted to PDF. These will be updated to the website shortly.
- A major project to scan all articles back
to the first issue of IASSIST Quarterly (IQ) is
complete, except for a few gaps. These are gradually being prepared
with links and HTML tables of contents. For now, virtually all issues
have a scanned
table of contents that can be viewed.
- The latest IQ issue to be put on the web is
Volume 32,
numbers 1-4, 2008. According to the editorial, "We have collected the 1, 2, 3, and 4 issues into a single issue for 2008 in order to catch up with our schedule."
Website Development
- A new website is being designed using open source software, Drupal, for a content-managed, interactive website, to be integrated with the IASSIST blog.
- A new logo has been commissioned and a new look and feel is being drafted by the same artist.
- We have implemented Google
Analytics for tracking and reporting usage of the entire website. If
any members would like to have access to the web stats, contact the Web
Editor, R.Rice AT ed.ac.uk.
